Ottaway Legacy Society Picnic

September 19, 2022

Sunday, September 18, 2022 members of the The Ottaway Legacy Society gathered for a picnic at the American Legion Little League Complex Pavilion. The theme was Meet and Mingle as we celebrated local philanthropy and shared more about the Legacy Society. Special music was provided by Jordyn Brozell and friends (cellist and violinists), special prizes were by William Czarnecki and lunch was catered by the Buzz of UC Cafe'.

There are currently 60 members who are remembering UCCF in your estate plan. We hope you will consider joining them!

The process is simple: While we do not need to know specifics, if UCCF is already in your will, please let us know – you are already a member of The Ottaway Legacy Society! We know that circumstances can change, but the Society enables us to recognize and thank you during your lifetime. However, if you’d like to learn more about amending your plans to include UCCF, we’ll connect you with our planned giving experts at The Erie Community Foundation. Together with your professional advisors, they can help you customize a gift that works on your time-table and for your family.

The Ottaway Legacy Society isn’t a club for a few wealthy people. It’s a way for anyone to remember the foundation with some percentage of their estate, thereby creating a long-term family legacy. Small or large, these gifts will be invested wisely and our endowment will grow and provide more opportunity for Union City.

Each year, more than $140,000 is invested into our community by your foundation through grants and scholarships. The list of people and organizations impacted by the UCCF is amazing, but we know there is more we can do. We dream of making a larger difference in Union City. By remembering UCCF in your estate plan, you can make this dream a reality.
